How We Are Distinct
Career and Leadership Coaches
Whether we are working with groups or with individuals, our goal is to serve the client's needs in the best possible way. We combine our experience in business, education and non-profits with our professional training from the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA. We coach people seeking a satisfying career path, design and deliver seminars that provide interactive opportunities for learning, growth and change, and help organizations cultivate strong and supportive teams.

Prior to founding Emerge, I led a research recruiting company as the Director of Operations and was the sole recruiter for a busy high tech company. I recognize people's skills and strengths and help to match them with opportunities. I understand the hiring process from the perspective of the candidate and the employer. Using the skillful listening and clarifying techniques I learned in coaches training, I champion individuals to find success personally and professionally. As the director of a highly successful fee-based program for a local school district, I built teams by acknowledging individual contributions and enhancing communication. When working with groups, I focus on the interaction between participants and adapt structures to maximize the energy. Whether I'm conducting a workshop, facilitating a meeting and or helping to develop a team, I make sure that the client's needs are the primary consideration.

Prior to joining Emerge I served in leadership positions in higher education, business, public education and various professional organizations. From these experiences, I learned the importance of listening to everyone's ideas, learning from everyone's perspectives, and acknowledging everyone's contributions. As a dean and director of the Center for Executive and Professional Education at Bentley University, I led a team of people delivering professional development programs both on campus and at corporate locations. I know that customer satisfaction relies on exceeding expectations and model that behavior in my business and individual relationships. Recently, I returned to Bentley University as a faculty member, teaching team effectiveness and management consulting skills to MBA students. My extensive background helps me to connect with young people who are beginning a career, experienced professionals seeking a career transition, and seasoned executives who want to move to the next level or explore other options. Regardless of whether I am coaching individuals or presenting group seminars, I motivate others to strengthen their skills and reach their goals.
