Intentional Listening: A Key to Successful Relationships
Are you listening? Listening is the gate through which all relationship building passes. Enhance the success of your personal and business relationships by learning how to listen in a focused, intentional way. Learn to listen with the other person’s agenda in mind. Learn about the three levels of listening and discover how intentional listening deepens learning. Develop insights that will help you assess the impact you are having on those around you.
This 2 hour workshop has a powerful impact on the peer counselors at Lawrence Academy, Groton School, Middlesex School, Concord-Carlisle High School, and Buckingham Browne & Nichols as well as several business groups, such as the Women's Business Network and Business Network International. Additionally, it’s a great way for teachers, sales leaders and business developers to enhance their relationships with colleagues, students, and clients.
Creating S.M.A.R.T Goals through Intentional Listening
Are your dreams turning into reality? With goal setting you can give your dreams a specific direction and create an action plan that makes them real. Convert intentions into reality by breaking your ideas into manageable pieces and creating S.M.A.R.T. goals. Brainstorm with a partner who practices intentional listening skills and helps you clarify what you want. Develop goals that make a big difference in your life.
This workshop is beneficial for people who want to make individual goals or for teams who desire to work towards a common goal.
Are you asking powerful questions? Learn the art of asking powerful questions and how to react to the responses received. Listening to the applicant will allow you to subjectively assess how good a fit they are for your company, school, college or organization. Many people mistakenly think that if they as interviewer can enthusiastically describe the opportunity, then the interview was successful. An effective interview is one where the interviewer draws out the applicant by asking open-ended, thought-provoking questions.
This 2 hour workshop is great preparation for being an interviewer who is representing a company, school or organization or for being interviewed by prospective employers, college admissions counselors and any groups that interview prospective new members.
Do you want to become a skillful leader? Recognize your own personal leadership strengths and discover how to use them most effectively. Enhance your success as a leader by adapting your style to fit a range of situations typically found in the workplace. A skillful leader acknowledges other people’s worth and potential so clearly that they come to see it in themselves.
This all-day seminar is a popular elective in the Project Management Series at U Mass Lowell. Designed for first-time managers, middle managers with 2-3 years of experience or those who are soon to assume leadership roles, it can also be presented on-site and adapted to company needs.
Increase Your Productivity: Improve Your Organizational Skills
Do you want to become a skillful leader? Learn how to get organized for your brain type and work style. Once you identify your work style and build your organizational systems around it, you become organized and stay that way. When you are organized, you are more likely to meet deadlines. You will stay more focused on your project and spend less time searching for the information you need to accomplish your work.
This interactive workshop teaches you how to get more done in a day and avoid the pitfalls of time-wasters. Managing your calendar, your workspace and your meetings all lead to increases in productivity and allow you to recapture "lost" time.
This workshop is designed for anyone who currently manages a project and those who are soon to assume management roles. Small business owners who need to increase their productivity by improving their organizational skills also find that this workshop teaches them tools they can apply to their business immediately.
